IRON MOUNTAIN - Jane E. Poupore, 92, of Iron Mountain, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at the home of her daughter in Negaunee.
She was born on July 12, 1920 in Wausaukee, Wis., the daughter of the late James and Mary Jane (Lennerville) LaCoy.
Jane graduated from Kingsford High School in 1939. In 1940 she married Willard Poupore at American Martyrs Catholic Church. He preceded her in death in 1988.
She was a member of American Martyrs Catholic Church. Jane enjoyed being surrounded by her family.
She is survived by six children, Willard (Pat) Poupore of Clyde, Texas and Michigamme, Mary Jane (Don) Rolando of Neenah, Wis., Robert (Barbara) Poupore of Quinnesec, Joan Hendrickson of Iron Mountain, Cynthia A. Poupore (George Sedlacek) of Negaunee, and James (Kim) Poupore of Henretta, Okla.; one brother, Robert (Marie) LaCoy of Dacula, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Paulich of Kingsford and Lorraine LaCoy of Iron Mountain; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael John Poupore; a brother, James LaCoy and his wife Mildred; and a brother-in-law, Glen Paulich.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at American Martyrs Catholic Church. Father Joseph Gouin will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.
A time of fellowship will follow the Mass in the church hall.
Burial will be in Cemetery Park.
