HOUGHTON - Deputies from the Houghton County Sheriff's Department are investigating an inmate suicide at the Houghton County Jail.
The incident occurred Monday at 2:11 a.m.
Deputies said that the victim's name will not be released pending further investigation, and that the exact cause of death will be determined by the Houghton County Medical Examiner.
The victim's family has been notified, deputies added.
Assisting were the Houghton City Police Department and Mercy Ambulance.
