KINGSFORD - Wayne A. Schultz, 68, of Kingsford, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.
He was born on Dec. 31, 1943, at home in Kingsford. Wayne has been a lifelong resident of this area and was a graduate of Kingsford High School.
He worked as a machinist for Kingsford Broach and Tool until his retirement in 2006. Wayne married Karen Hohman on May 17, 1973.
He was a member of the United Sportsman's Club in Merriman and the Pembine Sportsman's club. Wayne enjoyed hunting, motorcycles, antique cars, playing cards with all of his friends and camping at Dawson Lake.
He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be missed by his special companion, Buddy his dog.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; son, D.J. (Amy) Schultz of Escanaba; daughters, Kim (Rick) Daul of Friendship, Wis., Jean (Mike) Davis of Whitewater, Wis., Rhonda Schultz of Escanaba and Tori (Patrick) Kilhoffer of Danvers, Ill.; brothers, Bruce and Vernon Schultz of Beecher, Wis. and Larry Schultz of Green Bay; sister, Diane (Butch) Miller of Green Bay; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. "Hell, the guy knew everyone."
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Elmer; mother, Alice; infant son, Kevin; infant daughter, Susan; sister, Marlene Herzog and brother, Dean Schultz.
Private family services were held.
