MARQUETTE - An elderly Republic woman has been found after wandering away from her residence Tuesday night.
Deputies from the Marquette County Sheriff's Office said that the 81-year-old woman left her residence on Hemlock Street in South Republic sometime after 10 p.m.
The woman suffers from dementia and is a client with the Marquette County Life Tracker project, deputies added.
With assistance from the Life Tracker device, rescue personnel were able to locate the woman a short distance from her home at about 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Deputies said that the woman was treated on scene for hypothermia, then transported to Bell Memorial Hospital for treatment of exposure.
Assisting at the scene were Bell EMS and Republic First Responders.
