The Kingsford City Council will meet today at 6:30 p.m. in the council room, located upstairs of the city hall, 305 S. Carpenter Ave. in Kingsford.
Under old business, the council will consider a recommendation for the treasurer position and discussion of the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Emergency Services Authority concept. The council will then approve a draft resolution to set wages for assistant treasurer/new treasurer.

A bid opening for narrow banded radios for the Department of Public Works is listed under old business.
New business on the agenda includes a resolution of appreciation for the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Rotary Club for the donation of playground equipment, approval of the annual investment report, pay request for Bacco Construction for the street improvements, and a Planning Commission appointment.
An executive session is also planned to discuss collective bargaining strategy.
The Norway City Council will meet today at 7 p.m. in the council meeting room at the city hall building, 915 Main St. in Norway.
A presentation is planned by the High Adventures Youth Group. Action items include approval of a hot patch truck insert for the Public Works Department, communication management services agreement for the CATV department, resolution electing to comply with provisions of Public Act 152 of 20122 by exercising the city's rights to exempt itself from the requirements of the act for next year, and approval of a police department squad car.
An executive session of the council will also be held to discuss union collective bargaining.
