IRON MOUNTAIN - Bay de Noc Community College was founded in 1962, and has been serving the community ever since. To celebrate Bay College's 50th Anniversary, many exciting events will be taking place throughout the upcoming year.

Currently, Bay College is planning a 'Bay Birthday Bash' for Saturday, Oct. 20. This community open house will take place on the Escanaba campus and is free to the public.

"It is our time to open our doors wide and share our good works with you. We would like the whole community to join in the celebration - Bay is your community college. Explore the campus, enjoy music, food and cake, view the art and history displays and join in fun activities." noted Laura Coleman, president of Bay College.

Bay College West will celebrate Bay's 50th Anniversary with a presentation of the History of Bay College beginning at 9 a.m. in Fornetti Hall, followed by tours of Bay College West. A bus tour to the Escanaba campus and the community-wide open house will depart Bay West at 10:30 a.m. and return at 3 p.m.
