CASPIAN - Eunice M. Palmer, 83, of Caspian, passed away on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at the Iron River Care Center.
She was born Sept. 14, 1929, in Iron River, daughter of the late Oscar and Hilda (Johnson) Gustafson-Swanson. She attended the Iron River Schools.
Eunice married Ellis Dobson in 1946, and he preceded her in death on April 30, 1994. She married William Palmer on Sept. 28, 1998, in Eagle River, Wis. and the couple made their home in Caspian.
Eunice enjoyed reading, sewing, bingo, playing cards and games, traveling, and especially spending time with family members.
She is survived by her husband, William; sons, Robert (Paulette) Dobson of Iron River and Stephen (Lori) Dobson of Iron River; daughters, Linda Dobson of Iron River and Debbie (Robert) Waligursky of Caspian; stepsons, Calvin (Kimberly) Palmer, of Green Bay, Wis., Richard (Lori) Palmer of Green Bay, John (Kim) Palmer of Aurora, Ill. and Terry (Tonya) Palmer, of Green Bay; brother, Larry Gustafson of Iron River; sister, Marlene Nocerini of Powers; grandchildren, Stacie, Chad, Jill, Nikki, Trevor, Ryan, Jason, Casey, Craig, Sally Ann, Bill, Jasmin, Cassie, Nikki, Ashley, and Grace; and numerous great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence Gustafson, Jack Swanson, and Russell Gustafson; her sister, Joyce Tickanen; grandson, Christopher Dobson; and step-granddaughter, Jessie Palmer.
Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
Funeral services will follow Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Dawn Treado Green to officiate.
