Jeanette Lundin

NORWAY- Jeanette Ann Lundin, 82, of Norway died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.

She was born on Aug. 11, 1930, in Norway, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Catherin (Storti) Povolo.

Jeanette married Lawrence Lundin on April 9, 1949, in St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2006.

Jeanette is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Norvulet Post 4581 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Daughters of Isabella and a former member of Loyal Order of Moose 1474.

She worked at the Rialto Restaurant for more than 28 years, and enjoyed going to all the sporting events in the area.

Jeanette is survived by her sons, Larry Lundin and Terry (Veronica) Lundin, both of Norway; daughters, Diane (Andrew) Benjamin of Norway and Janis (John) Hogberg of Iron Mountain; grandchildren, Kirk Benjamin of Norway, Trisha (B.J.) Plante of Norway, Jake Hogberg of Atlanta and Jamie (Derek Warren) Hogberg of Iron Mountain, and Nick and Michelle Lundin of Norway; great-grandchildren, Kameron, Joshua, Gracie and Kyle; brother, Ernest (Nadine) Povolo of Iron Mountain; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Solda, Sylvia Miller, Lena Sanetti, Angeline Fellin, and Agnes Thomas and her brothers, Reno and Louis Povolo.

Family will greet friends on Saturday from noon. to 1 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the church with Fr. Timothy Ekaitis presiding. A funeral luncheon will follow the Mass.

Interment will be held at the Norway Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jeanette's name.
