The Iron Mountain City Council will meet today at 6:30 p.m. in the council room of the city hall building, 501 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain.
New business on the agenda includes approval to issue a request for proposals for 1010 N. Stephenson Avenue, the former Khoury property, payment for City Park trees from Grandma's Garden, parking lot/street closure for Harvest on Hughitt Oktoberfest and a liquor permit application from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission for the event, and approval of wage adjustments for part-time firefighters.
The Kingsford City Council will meet today at 6:30 p.m. in the council meeting room, located upstairs of the city hall building, 305 S. Carpenter Ave. in Kingsford.
The council will consider a draft resolution for Lodal park tennis court grant application and a request for council action from Attorney Brian Brouillette under old business.
A public hearing for 812 Michael St. has been postponed until the Sept. 25 meeting at 6:30 p.m.
The Norway City Council will meet today in the council room of the city hall building in Norway at 7 p.m.
The Florence County School District Board of Education will meet Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the High School Room 215.
The board will consider the 2012-13 school calendar under old business.
A closed session is also planned to discuss a specific student matter, personnel, and staffing/contracts/compensation.
