KHS class of '48 luncheon set

IRON MOUNTAIN - The Kingsford High School class of 1948 is planned a luncheon for Aug. 30, at 11:30 a.m. at Holiday Kitchen in Iron Mountain.

Air Lifeline yard sale

KINGSFORD - A yard sale is being held to raise runds for Northwood Air Lifeline Aug. 30-31 and Sept. 1 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 283 S. Roosevelt St., Kingsford.

Legion Post 145 breakfast Sept. 2

NORWAY - The Norway American Legion Post 145 will be serving a pancake breakfast on Sunday, Sept. 2, (Labor Day weekend) at 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast, juice and coffee. Adults are $6 and children under six are free.

The public is invited. The Post is located at 621 Main Street.

Book Club meets Tuesday

IRON MOUNTAIN - The Dickinson County Library Book Club will be meeting Tuesday 6 p.m. at the Dickinson County Library.

The Dickinson County Library Book Club selection for August is "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot. Reading guides for this book are available at the circulation desk or on the Dickinson County Library website, www.dcl-lib.org. The Book Club is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.

Library offers copies of benefits

HERMANSVILLE - Copies of the 2012 Federal Benefits for Veterans, Dependents and Surivors are available at the Hermansville Branch Library. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.
