Norway Post picnic Sunday

NORWAY - The Nouvulet Veterans of Foreign?Wars (VFW) Post 4581 will hold its annual picnic at Marion Park in Norway Sunday beginning at noon.

Post and auxiliary members and invited guests are welcome.

IM class of '65 ladies to meet

IRON MOUNTAIN - All ladies from the Iron Mountain High School class of 1965 are invited to attend a monthly luncheon on Monday, Aug. 20, at the White House at noon.

Reservations are not required unless noted otherwide.

KHS class of '54 plans luncheon

IRON MOUNTAIN - The Kingsford High School class of 1954 will meet for lunch at noon at Famer's on Tuesday, Aug. 21.

Classmates, spouses and guests are welcome.

Women's ministry attending retreat

IRON MOUNTAIN - The Women's Ministry of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain is planning to attend the Win-Some Women Fall Retreat.

The group will take a charter bus to Mackinac Island for the Retreat which is held at the Grand Hotel. The dates for the trip are Thursday, Oct. 18, and return home on Friday, Oct. 19. There are a limited number of seats still available. Anyone interested is invited to attend.

Veterans benefit booklet available

HERMANSVILLE - Copies of the 2012 Federal Benefits for Veterans, Dependents and Survivors are available at the Hermansville Branch Library.

The library is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.

KHS class of '57 reunion Sept. 1

KINGSFORD - The Kingsford High School class of 1957 will hold its 55th reunion on Saturday, Sept. 1 at the Antoine Room of Recreation Lanes.

The committee will meet again on Thursday, Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. at Verna's.

Class members are asked to get their reservations in so they can get a final count. If you have questions, call Kathy at (906) 774-6601.

Teen game nights set

IRON MOUNTAIN - The Dickinson County Library in?Iron?Mountain will host a Teen Game Night on Friday at 4 p.m.

The Norway Library will also be holding a Teen Game Night on Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 4 p.m.

Teens and tweens are invited to break out their competitive spirit, their dancing shoes, and have fun at the library with Wii games, board games, bingo, chess, checkers, and more.

This program is open to grades 6 and up, and is sponsored by the Hahner Law Offices, P.C.
