IRON MOUNTAIN - Ann Louise Luckow, 76, of Iron Mountain, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 9, 2012, at the Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain.
She was born on Dec. 13, 1935, in Stambaugh, daughter of the late Antone and Olga (Todey) Bicigo. She attended the Crystal Falls schools graduating from Crystal Falls High School in 1955.
Ann married Virgil Luckow on Nov. 12, 1955, in Foster City. Ann worked as a nurse's aide for the Florence Villa Nursing Home in Florence, then as a cleaning attendant at the Svecia Country Club in Spread Eagle, as a waitress at Justy's Inn in Florence, as a bartender at the Town Tap and Chatter Box both in Florence, and finally housekeeper at the Woodlands Motel in Iron Mountain.

She was a lifelong resident of the area, moving to Iron Mountain in 1982. She loved bowling and her many trophies were a testament to her love and determination for the game. For many years, she was an AVON representative, with customers in all aspects of life.
She was a devoted mother and Christian who made it a point to give her girls an understanding of God. Her daughters grew up in the Presbyterian Church in Florence. She loved to read, and enjoyed socializing with others. She was a former member of the Randville Bible Church.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Connie (Wayne) Rouleau of Iron Mountain, Kathy (David) Miller of Crystal Falls, Julie Weiss of Neenah, Wis., Sherry (Lee) Waldrep of Mahomet, Ill. and Sally (Dan) Hallfrisch of Cloquet, Minn.; grandchildren, Susan (James) Lucas, Jessica Miller, Shannon (Jon) Osier, Joshua Weiss, Nicole Weiss, and Cassidy, Karli, and Anslie Waldrep; brother, Steve Bicigo of Crivitz, Wis.; and sisters, Mary Jane (Ted) Ridolphi of Iron River and Elsie Schroder of Dearborn Heights, Mich.
Ann was preceded in death by her father, Antone Bicigo; mother, Olga Groop; step- father, William Groop; and step-brothers, William Edward and Michael Edward Groop.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Norway.
The funeral service will follow Saturday at 2 p.m. at the church. Rev. James Danielson will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.
