2 arrested on heroin charges

IRON MOUNTAIN - The Kingsford-Iron Mountain-Norway-Dickinson County (KIND) Drug Team has arrested two Dickinson County men on delivery of heroin charges, authorities announced.

In a joint statement released by the KIND Drug Team and Dickinson County Prosecuting Attorney Stephanie Brule, it was announced the KIND Drug Team made a drug-related arrest of Christopher Lukaszewski of Kingsford.

Lukaszewski, 31, was arrested on a warrant charging him with one count of delivery of heroin and habitual offender, fourth offense.

The charge is the result of an ongoing investigation by the KIND Drug Team.

Officers with KIND seized additional items related to suspected controlled substance violations at the time of the arrest.

Lukaszewski is also being held on a parole violation.

He is scheduled for a preliminary examination on the charge in Dickinson County District Court on July 23.

Lukaszewski remains lodged in the Dickinson County Correctional Center on a $15,000 bond.

Also resulting from an ongoing investigation by the KIND Drug Team, officers arrested Jason James Richtig, 27, of Iron Mountain on Monday.

He was arrested on three warrants charging him with delivery of heroin, delivery of oxycodone on school or library property and delivery of morphine on school or library property.

Richtig is scheduled for a preliminary examination on the charges in Dickinson County District Court on July 17.

Richtig remains lodged in the Dickinson County Correctional Center on a $15,000 bond.
