IRON MOUNTAIN - The third annual Zero Gravity Action Sports Outreach Stunt is scheduled for Saturday, July 7, on East A Street in downtown Iron Mountain.
Spectators are asked bring chairs as there is no seating available.
Zero Gravity is a group of professional motorcycle stunt riders who ride freestyle motocross and precision stunts on sports bikes, four-wheelers and supermotos and have a passion and desire to reach out to the lost by being extreme, intense and loud in a positive manner.
Two X-Games type extreme sports motorcycle stunt shows will be presented.
The first show will be at 1 p.m. and the second at 5 p.m. There will be a meet and eat with the riders at 11:30 a.m. before the show starts. Shows include stunts on street bikes, FMX, quads and drift cars.
The Christian rock band "Manic Drive" will perform in concert Saturday night at 8 p.m. at the bandshell across from the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.
The Extreme Sports Outreach event is free for everyone in the area.
Their mission is to use extreme measures, in an extreme world to reach an extreme culture, members said.
The event includes a community wide outdoor church service on Sunday, July 8, at 10 a.m. at the Out to Lunch stage in downtown Iron Mountain.
Pastor Dexter Sanders form Orlando, Fla., will be presenting the message.
"Today's youth and young adults are growing up in a very intense world," said Tim Wilkinson, vice president and director of operations of the Zero Gravity Action Sports Outreach.
"Rejection, pressure, sex, drugs and hate are just in their face each and every day," he said. "What God has called us to do through Zero Gravity Action Sports Outreach is use extreme sports, loud, positive, high-energy music, and high quality video and a unique collective to meet people in a place where we can bridge the gap between culture and true faith."
There will be food, soda, treats and Zero Gravity merchandise available.
This event makes it possible for the whole family to have a great time watching aerial and street acrobatics on motorcycles and hanging out with the riders, officials said.
Zero Gravity Action Sports Outreach is a nonprofit organization and is always looking for financial support.
From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today, Avenue Designers hairstylists Melissa Inglese and Kortnee Fornetti will be offering haircuts for a minimum $10 donation to support Zero Gravity.
No appointment needed and cuts will be given on a first come first serve basis.
