HERMANSVILLE - Rose A. Nelson, 77, of Norway, formerly of Hermansville, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
She was born on Jan. 12, 1935, in Faithorn, the daughter of the late William and Marcella (Gibour) Savord.
Rose married Robert E. Nelson on June 19, 1954, at St. Mary Church in Hermansville. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2000.

Rose worked at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers for 12 years as a nurse's aide.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Nelson of Kingsford and Randy Nelson of Hermansville; daughter, Karen Marie Nelson of Bremerton, Wash.; grandchildren, Christy (Jeremy) Paskevich of Fairfield, Calif., Keenen Nelson of Bremerton, and Breanna Nelson of Kingsford; great-grandson, Darrius Nelson; brothers, Wilfred (Helen) Savord of Hermansville; sister, Edna (Allan) Pickle of Stephenson and several nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her brothers, Fr. William Savord and Lucas Savord and sisters, Anna Mae Zahn and Mary Skuja.
Family will greet friends on Friday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Parish in Hermansville.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Parish with Fr. Michael Vichich presiding, with a funeral luncheon to follow.
Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Faithorn.
