IRON MOUNTAIN - Sheldon (Shelly) Ellison cruised undefeated to win the Dickinson Area Bocce Association senior singles title at City Park's Ray Mariucci Bocce Complex.
Ellison's opponents averaged four points per match.
"Louie Stark made him work the hardest, gaining eight points in a valiant effort," a DABA spokesman said.
Joe Massie took home second prize. Jim (Dude) Snowdon, after a first-round loss, put together a four-game streak that gave him third place.
Ed Pilot claimed fourth in the 10-player double elimination tournament.
DABA's open singles tournament, with the champion named Player of the Year, will take place Saturday. Registration ends at 8:45 a.m. and tourney begins at 9 a.m.

Entry fee is $5, with prizes awarded and lunch served.
