Message holder craft at the library
IRON MOUNTAIN - The public is invited to visit the Dickinson County Library or one of its branches on Monday, July 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to make an animal themed message holder out of clothespins.
Each month the Dickinson County Library will host a unique craft that celebrates the fun of summer reading.
This program is for all ages, and is sponsored by the Vulcan-Norway-Loretto Lions Club.
Hashbrowns to perform Friday
IRON MOUNTAIN - The Country Hashbrown Band of Escanaba will be performing at the Iron Mountain Senior Center on Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a country western night of dancing.
The Hashbrowns are a five-piece band that plays country music along with many polkas and waltzes. The band consist of Jim Wilson, bass; Eric Britton, bass and Jim Profit, rhythm and Dan McDonald on the drums. They all do vocals. The Country Hashbrowns band has been a favorite at the C &?R in Aurora, Wis. and with the dancers at the center.
The cost of the dance is $8 and includes a light lunch. Persons may bring beverages of their choice. All ages are welcome and encouraged to come and enjoy an evening of exercise and fun.
