Breitung Township's restored 1930 Model A Ford fire truck was a featured display at the week-long Model A Ford Club of America National Convention in Marquette. Edsel Ford II, left, joins Guy Forstrom, the township's public works superintendent, in displaying a Featured Vehicle Award. "This is worldwide recognition," noted Township Superintendent Joe Rogina. Doug Oliver of Quinnesec was the event's public relations coordinator. Oliver's father, the late Dale Oliver, was instrumental in keeping Breitung Township's Model A truck from being sold off in the late 1960s. It has now been preserved for many years to come. Edsel Ford II is the great-grandson of Ford Motor Co. founder Henry Ford.
