Picnic table built in memory of student

June 8, 2012
The Daily News

PEMBINE, Wis. - Students in Jim Fornetti's Tech Ed classes at Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine School designed and built a picnic table in memory of Alana Luczak who lost her life in a fire in August 2011.

The table has been placed in the picnic area at the school where students can use and enjoy it.

Alana would have been a sophomore at Pembine this year, so the sophomore class organized the project.

A plaque was placed on the top of the table which reads, "The picnic table was made by the 2011-12 Tech Ed Classes in memory of our classmate, Alana Luczak. This project was organized by the Class of 2014."

Materials for this project were donated by Mathis Hardware and Lumber, Inc. of Amberg and Lofholm's Building Center of Norway.

Luczak died in a house fire last year.
