Constantini receives top award from U.S. Air Force

SEYMOUR JOHNSON AFB, N.C. - Senior Airman Kaitlyn E. Constantini was recently awarded the 2011 Maj. Gen. Jerry Rogers Maintenance Professional of the Year Award during a banquet to recognize the best airmen of the 4th Maintenance Group at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

This award is given to 10 airmen through the 4th MXG who have made exceptional contributions to mission readiness throughout the year in their respective categories. Although the Air Force has many prestigious awards, this recognition banquet is unique to maintainers and these professional are being honored by their peers and mentors.

"These Airmen exemplify dedication, tenacity, professionalism and technical excellence. The Maintenance Professionals of the Year are Airmen who exemplify the highest maintenance standards and technical compliance while embodying Air Force core values," a spokesperson said.

Senior Airman Constantini has also recently returned from serving her first tour of duty in Afghanistan. She works on and maintains the F-15 Strike Eagle Fighter jets.

She is the daughter of Rickey and Michelle Constantini of Spread Eagle, Wis.
