ADP's Allen throws Senior one-hitter

KINGSFORD - Dalton Allen pitched a one-hitter and Allen Painting & Decorating topped Hermansville North County 11-1 in a six-inning Little League Senior baseball game.

North County's Brandon Schulz recorded the lone hit in the third inning. Allen ended the day with 11 strikouts and two walks.

APD registered 11 hits, with two singles apiece coming from Gage Yaggie,

Dan Harrington, Conor Berndt and Alex Barnett.

North County, with Devin Wodraska pitching six solid innings and striking out eight, picked up its first win with a 3-2 decision over Iron County.

North County's Andy Estrada came on in the seventh to strike out the side to close out the game. Iron County's Joel Vanlanen permitted five hits and fanned eight.

Trevor Mahoney led North County with 2 hits. Allen Kleiman, Travis Vincent and Stone Rossato also added hits for Hermansville.

Iron County had six hits, with doubles by Steve West and Vanlanen.

Major baseball

IRON MOUNTAIN - Rimick Cain cracked an inside-the-park home run and Rotary tripped Elks 6-2 in Iron Mountain North Little League Major baseball at Larry Barkle Eastside Field.

Rotary's Charlie Gerhard pitched a complete game, giving up three hits and striking out eight. Elks' Foster Wonders and Tony Feira fanned nine and allowed five hits.

Rotary's Gage Theisen added two singles.

For Elks, CJ Dantes tagged a triple while Trent Juul and Eli Lofholm each singled.

Elsewhere in North Major baseball, Tyler Beauchamp scattered four hits and UCT clipped Kiwanis 6-1.

Beauchamp struck out 12 and walked one. Caleb Johnson finished the last two outs.

Robert Pomeroy led UCT with a double and single. CJ Bolo chipped in two singles while Nick Saari, Beaucham, and Ryan Hakamaki also singled.

Kiwanis pitchers Nate Bluekamp and Caleb Evosevich gave up seven hits, struck out six and walked three.

Kiwanis hits came from Jake Dumais (2 singles), Nate Bluekamp and Treydon Boyer.

Major softball

KINGSFORD - Arms of Angels Transportation won a pair of Little League Major softball games in the past week, defeating Champion Concrete 13-10 and Schneider Metal 11-10.

In the game against Champion, Abby Tomasoski's pitching was backed by the three-hit slugging of Sierra Fortner and Brianna Robinson.

Pitcher Lilly Vanloon along with Carly Stanchina, Ada Vanhalla and Kallie Paul paced Champion.

Sierra Fortner, Sydney Lobner, and Stephanie Losiniecki provided the Angels offense against Schneider.

Angels pitcher Abby Person struck out two and walked two.

Schneider pitcher Sam Cross fanned 10 and also contributed two hits. Jordan Kriegl tacked on two hits and "played an outstanding defensive game at catcher," according to an Angels representative.

Bailey Johnson, Tori Walters and Hanna Bastian knocked in runs as Logo Sportswear defeated Blagec Bros. 10-4.

Sydney Wickman, Bastian, Walters, Johnson, Sabrina Wickman, Madison Bennett and Heather Harris delivered LS hits.

Defense played a big role with pitcher Sabrina Wickman and catcher Sydney Wickman teaming up for a pairf of strikeouts. First baseman Harris along with Sabrina Wickman and Raegan Pratt turned double plays.
