IRON MOUNTAIN - Paul "Squeak" F. George, 59 of Iron Mountain, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
He was born on July 8, 1952 in Iron Mountain son of Fadel and Mary (Dowdle) George. He attended the Iron Mountain schools, graduating from Iron Mountain High School in 1970.
He went on to Ferris State College where he graduated as a dental technician. Paul worked as a dental tech in Milwaukee. He then moved to Iron Mountain where he went to work for the Milwaukee Road, eventually finding his way to the U.S. Postal Service where he worked as a postal carrier, retiring in February of 2010.

Paul liked to hunt in his early years, but fishing was his passion for many years. He went on many successful fishing trips through the years, including many stops in Canada and Alaska. Squeak also enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas, especially during the Super Bowl.
He enjoyed gardening, smoking different foods in his smoker, and cooking; he was an excellent cook. He loved spending time with his many friends at Ellingson's camp, "Acne Acres" in Peavy Falls, playing cards.
Paul is survived by his mother and father, Mary and Fadel George of Iron Mountain; sisters, Cynthia Skrumbellos of Peavy Falls, and Jane Qualley of Kingsford; a brother, David George of Iron Mountain; nieces and nephews, Audrey Sparapani, Brett Sparapani, Rhiannon Qualley-Harrison, Clayton Qualley, and Natalie Skrumbellos; great-niece and great-nephew, Whitney and Eli Siren; he is further survived by many good friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Mark Hagan will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his memory.
