Girls hoops:Kangas honored
NORWAY - Norway senior Megan Kangas has been named to the girls basketball academic all-state list by the Michigan High School Basketball Coaches Association.
Kangas registered a 4.0 grad point average.

IRON MOUNTAIN - Pine Grove Country Club's "Scotch Golf" will be held Thursday, May 10.

Triathlon:
'Y' training
IRON MOUNTAIN - Northern Lights YMCA, in preparation for the second annual U.P. Northwoods Triathlon, is offering a free training clinic.
U.P. Northwoods Triathlon will be held Sunday, July 1, at Lake Antoine Park. Training will begin on Saturday, May 5, with a bike course and short run. Participants should meet at Lake Antoine Park at 10 a.m.
