IRON MOUNTAIN - A 60-year-old Norway man has entered a guilty plea to one count of criminal sexual conduct, third degree (incapacitated victim).

Jeffrey Stack appeared for arraignment before Judge Mary B. Barglind on Tuesday with attorney Henry McRoberts of Iron Mountain.

McRoberts said his client would plead guilty to one charge of CSC, third degree per a plea agreement.

Prosecuting Attorney Stephanie Brule said the plea agreement calls for counts two through four (two counts of criminal sexual conduct, third degree and one count of criminal sexual conduct, fourth degree - incapacitated victim in each) be dismissed and no further charges be filed against the defendant.

The plea deal also calls for a minimum of 24 months to 40 months incarceration. There is no minimum maximum for prison time in the plea deal, Brule said.

Judge Barglind said the charge of CSC, third carries a maximum penalty of 15 years incarceration, is a tier III offense therefore sex offender registration is required.
