DCHS hosts Thanksgiving

POSTED: November 7, 2009

IRON MOUNTAIN - Dickinson County Healthcare System is once again hosting the traditional Thanksgiving Day turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

Due to the visitor restrictions in place at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, meals for the annual Thanksgiving dinner will be offered by delivery only.

Delivery of the meals will begin at 10:15 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Call 776-5320 before 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, to schedule delivery of a meal. As a result of this change, the hospital is asking for additional volunteers to help deliver meals on Thanksgiving Day. Volunteers are needed between 10:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Call 776-5417 to volunteer.

I see nothing wrong with feeding my neighbors and im glad that people in our community are volunteering time to deliver meals to people who need them.

This is where your healthcare dollars go people. The next time your health insurance goes up, remember you are feeding your neighbors.
