Vietnam veterans representative has been laid off
IRON MOUNTAIN - Due to a reporting and accounting issue at the Michigan Department of Veterans Affairs in Lansing, Vietnam Veterans of American (VVA) has had to temporarily lay off service representative Vic Romback and all other service representatives.
VVA hopes the lay off will be short term, but Romback will not be in the area this month and will notify veterans when he will be back to work.
The VVA apologizes for any inconvenience. For assistance call 1-800-882-6424.

you know whats funny is that "ilikeguns2001" thinks everybody owes him something, does anybody know what he has accomplished to deserve ANYTHING, the answer is probably NOTHING, cause i know alot of people who have lost their jobs and they found other jobs and ways to get what they need, they had to struggle, but they knew any little bit would help, and he is spewing so much crap out of his mouth, he is lucky that there isnt any VETERANS who know the sh it he is talking, cause he would run and hide like a little scared 6 year old girl.

Lol and I'm the brainwashed one? So are you saying 911 never happened? Do you really think it will never happen again? Let's shut the military down and let everyone fend for themselves what a fool.

Brainwashed lol you see the problem with that statement is that I have a mind of my own and don't need a political party to make up my mind unlike you. Your views are the ones that seem like brainwashed views of the far left. I saw first hand what Saddam did I saw what the planes did on 911 but I suppose you know better then someone who was there. That is called brainwashed are you the kettle or the pot? Oh wait I almost forgot the kettle or the pot is by far more intelligent then you. You should know your facts before you speak instead of what the left is telling you.

Let's see Ilikeguns us vets put our lives on the line for your sorry excuse for a life and for that you call all of us welfare scum. You are a joke, I think in another article you are the one stating you deserve more free stuff at the cost of the workers who pay taxes. You, like I've said before need to commit suicide to stop the retarded gene from further expanding, then your kids wouldn't have to live through the embarrassment of you. I to am a vet that doesn't use the va but once this bill passes and I am forced onto the govt health care you can bet that I will take full advantage of the benefits I've earned. Its funny how you say because we would do that, that we are welfare scum because it will be free to us but isn't that what this govt health care is for you but at a cost to everyone? Hypocrite.

So you are one of the wacko 9/11 truthers huh? Yeah that wasn't really an attack on our security or freedom. I will say most of the attacks on our freedom right now is coming from the liberals. The Islamic Domestic terrorist who just killed 13 at Fort Hood also isn't a threat either. I'm glad I didn't have to serve with a coward like you.

Blackhawk: I'd love to live in France, I hear their healthcare is top notch. I would prefer Switzerland but their immigration policies are very strict. In any case, I stand by what I said about the whole "defending our freedom" thing. My good friend who lost most of his right hand defusing a land mine near the Syrian border agrees with me. Anyone who thinks terrorists are a threat to our freedom is a coward or lacks a weapon. The biggest threat to our freedom posed by terrorism is the fact that it has been used to curtail civil rights in this country by the likes of Bush, Cheney, Tenet, Rumsfeld, et al.

I see a bunch of gutless whiners on here that want to criticize the Military but don't have the slightest idea of what it is. It's to bad that our soldiers can't choose who's freedom they defend. Maybe if we offer all the liberals a one way ticket to France we could finally rid our society of their drain on us.

9/11 Is a staged ore took advantage of event that the greedy elite is using to steel the resources from the people of Iraq and other middle eastern nations.I was in Iraq in 2005 as a contractor There are some heroes there. But the fact of the matter is the military could not wipe its butt if it didn't have civilians be it American or foreign.

so WWII was about our freedom, why would you say that and not our current situation we are in? ohh i know, we got attacked in Pearl Harbor, well seeing how that was the only fighting to occur on an american base, not american soil, Hawaii was not a state at the time, then i guess the war on terror which by the way 9/11 happened on AMERICAN SOIL would also classify with WWII. There were more people killed on 9/11 then at Pearl Harbor that day. So i will hang my hat on that.

You know, it gets thrown around a lot these days that our military is "defending our freedom." I'd like to see one example of that in the past 60 years. Korea, nope, Vietnam, nope, Panama, nope, Iraq I, nope, Afghanistan, nope, Iraq II, nope, Iran, ??? The whole "defending our freedom" thing is a little tired. I realize that our soldiers need to hang their hat on something but don't do it on my freedom because none of the wars the US has been involved in throughout the past 60 years have had anything to do with "freedom." I do honor and respect our servicemen for putting their lives on the line but lets not muddy the waters here, they are defending ideology. Not one of the wars that this country has fought since WWII has been about freedom in this country.

Your words:cause that was part of contract we signed.Vets are going to milk it for ever last drop. The VA is government funded with tax dollars from people like the ones at Mc Donolds. You sir would not make a pimple on his butt

you know whats funny, is that ilikeguns, which by the way the will be banned here shortly if Obama has his way, wants free health care, thats fine, but us veterans have EARNED it, that was part of the contract we signed, which so many politicians seem to forget. and you are right i will be the first one inline, cause i pay for my own now but when this bs reform comes through, why wouldn't i go to the VA versus getting the same health care as somebody who didnt do anything but loaf around waiting for a hand out.
