Richard Bishop

PEMBINE, Wis. - Richard J. Bishop, 71, of Pembine passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2008, at Marquette General Hospital.

He was born April 9, 1937, to the late Walter and Margaret (Frank) Bishop. On Oct. 26, 1957, he married Eunice Smith. Richard served in the U.S. Navy completing 35 years of active and reserve duties. Following his service in the Navy, Richard worked for 35 more years for Davis Construction in Green Bay. He was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Green Bay and Iron Mountain, serving 20 years as a Pathfinder Director.

Together with his wife Eunice he enjoyed traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice; a son Thomas E. (Ann) Bishop of Key West, Fla.; a daughter, Tammy Bishop of Kewaunee, Fla.; two grandchildren, Thomas E. Jr., Bangor, Wash., and Richard K., Key West; two great-grandchildren, Thomas K. and Richard C. He is further survived by a sister Barbara Wilcox of Seymour.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Larry, Robert, and Donald.

Friends may call to Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home of Seymour, on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Seymour veterans will be conducting military rites.

Burial will take place in the Elmlawn Cemetery.
