Major’s Grede, FNB undefeated

KINGSFORD — First National Bank and Grede remained unbeaten Friday in Kingsford Area Major Little League baseball.
Gabe Swanson socked a home run and single and Mike McCole delivered a double and two singles to lead FNB past the Florence Bobcats 6-0.
FNB pitchers Dan Olson, McCole and Swanson permitted two hits, fanned 16 and walked one. Bobcats’ Austin Trudell gave up six hits, fanned nine and walked two.
Grede scored four runs in the fourth inning with the help of four walks and Grede downed Dairy Queen 8-1.
Grede pitchers Joe Linn, Dylon DalSanto and Jacob Mongrain scattered three hits, whiffed eight and walked four.
Grede pitchers Brandon Kowalkowski and Logan Lebo allowed two hits, fanned six and walked four.
DQ’s Bubba Johnson and Ethan Metras each doubled.
