H1N1 vaccine available locally

KINGSFORD — The H1N1 vaccine for pregnant women is now available at their prenatal care provider or through the health department in Dickinson and Iron counties.. The health department has a limited supply of H1N1 vaccine which is restricted to the following groups: * Children aged 6 months to 4 years * Persons who live with or provide care for infants less than 6 months of age * Children and adolescents aged 5 -18 years who have medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications, for example, diabetes, asthma, heart disease or neurological disease. Please call the Health Department at (906) 774-1868 or (906) 265-4150 for an appointment only if you are in one of these groups. As more H1N1 vaccine becomes available we will be able to offer it to other priority groups. Please continue to check our website at www.didhd.org or call the Health Department for updated information.
