Christmas in Florence
Sat, December 7, 2013 @ 11:00AM
FLORENCE, Wis. — It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Main Street is getting ready for another wonderful Christmas in Florence event.
Take a drive to Florence to see the lights, check out the new St. Vincent de Paul store, take your family out to eat or have a drink with friends old and new at one of our local pubs. Money spent here - stays here helping our community grow.
The Chamber's "4th Annual Christmas in Florence" is Saturday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Florence Community Center and the Encore on Central. Come hear the sounds of the season with music performances by FHS Show Choir, a drama performance of "Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus" and Christmas carols sung by local residents. Don't miss a visit with Santa (and remember to bring your camera). More performances are still being planned.
You can also view the community snowman building contest and elementary school ornament displays. Winners of these contests and door prizes will be announced at 4 p.m. at the Community Tree Lighting Ceremony.
New this year, Woodworks Chainsaw Carving will be doing Ice sculpture demonstrations throughout the day.
There is no cost to attend the event and you may win a door prize!
