Haven't noticed the disclaimers
January 30, 2012 - Jim Anderson
Those wild Nissan Frontier truck ads do include a disclaimer, according to a company spokesman.
Last fall, Josh Clifton, a spokesman for Nissan North America, told the New York Times:
"If you look closely there is a disclaimer on screen for each commercial that reads: ‘Fictionalization. Do not attempt.'”
Funny, but I’ve never noticed the disclaimers.
I guess I’ve been too enthralled by the jet with broken landing gear steering itself into the bed of the racing Nissan pickup. And, more recently, the “snowboarding” Nissan doing a flip on a mountain course.
“We showcased the vehicle pulling off impossible feats, all in order to recapture the attention of the active and adventurous midsize truck audience,” NIssan’s Clifton explained.
So, what’s next ...
Is the Nissan Frontier going to eat just one Lay’s potato chip?
