Peppers added to Pro Bowl roster
January 23, 2012 - Terri Castelaz
I just read a little good news... Julius Peppers, (a defensive end for the Chicago Bears, for those unfamiliar with football), has been added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster.
Peppers will be a replacement for Jason Pierre-Paul who will not be able to play in Sunday's all-star game because his team, the New York Giants will be preparing for the Super Bowl.
Peppers led the Bears with 11 sacks in his second season with the club was selected as a Pro Bowl alternate for this year’s match up. Now, he is a Pro Bowler for the seventh time in his 10-year NFL career.
Others Bears making the roster include cornerback, Charles Tillman, running back, Matt Forte and special team member, Corey Graham. Linebackers Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs backed out of the game because of injuries.
Not that the Pro Bowl means all that much, but it is still nice to see members of “your” team make it there.
