| | Gardening challengesMay 19, 2011 - Terri CastelazI am so looking forward to the warm weather. Getting out and spending time in the flower garden is one of my favorite things at this time of year or should I say use to be. It is now a challenge to actually get things done without Tessa, my two-year-old, trying to get out of my sight. Before going outside with her I will tell her “Now you have to stay right by me while I work in the garden or we will have to come in the house.” She replies every time, “Momma I promise. I promise.” Guess what she never keeps her promise for more than a few minutes, but of course I know that before I even attempt to actually doing any work. As she starts to run around the house with me running behind her, she’s yelling “I promise, I promise — no house, no house.” I’m so mad at her, but it’s hard not to laugh. She has to be the busiest two year old I’ve ever seen. I think she has batteries that never quit. So I’m really not that hopeful that I will have a nice looking garden this year unless I invest in fencing or good babysitter. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
