Another beautiful Monday
August 25, 2014 - Nikki Younk
Well, it’s official. 2014 is shaping up to be the coldest year in living memory. Check out this article if you don’t believe me.
Sure, we’ve seen a few real summer days— sunny, humid days of 80 degrees or above. Today was one of those days. A perfect day for swimming, kayaking, or enjoying a nice cold drink in the backyard.
Too bad it was a Monday.
Has anyone else noticed that most of our precious few summer days this year have been on Mondays or Tuesdays? Thursdays, Fridays, and weekends, otherwise known as the days when people have time off, are more often than not the cooler, wetter days of the week. Mother Nature needs to do a turnaround here.
If this patterns persists, at least we can expect a nice Labor Day next Monday. It better be nice — it’s unofficially the last day of summer.
