World Cup ready
June 11, 2014 - Marguerite Lanthier
Brazilians are really getting into the spirit of the World Cup, which starts this weekend. But that’s no surprise as they are some of the most exuberant fans of soccer. For example, many of the streets are painted with elaborate decorations celebrating the game and the upcoming tournament. The brightly colored paintings almost make you overlook the obvious poverty of many of the areas. You can see the street scenes by going to Google and clicking on the link to tour the streets of Brazil. It’s pretty cool. The United States plays Ghana on Monday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN starting at 4:30 p.m. local time. Go USA.
