Menominee’s Jacob Pedersen posted one of the best 60-yard shuttle times (12.19 seconds) at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Jason Wilde of ESPN also reported the Wisconsin tight end (6-4, 238) ran a 4.89-second 40-yard dash and had a 28.5-inch vertical leap.
Pedersen, expected to be a third-day NFL draft pick, was recommended to Wisconsin by Mequon Homestead Coach Dave Keel.
"We played Menominee Jacob's junior and senior year, and his senior year he never left the field — offense, defense, punt, kickoff. Heck of player," Keel told Wilde.
Escanaba’s Bob McGinn, award-winning scribe for the Milwaukee JournalSentinel, noted Pedersen didn’t do the bench press at the combine. Small hands may also affect him.
