U.P. Arctic Blast football team has a new coach and league.

“Our coach relocated to North Dakota last year, so our new head coach is Josh Bellefeuille,” explained Blast publicist Dawn Kranz. “He is a former Escanaba player, and two-way standout for the Blast.”

The Blast’s old league, NXFL, expanded to eight teams and became the Mid-West Football League.

“The name accommodates the locale of some other teams,” Kranz said.
