Understanding Roxy

Happy to hear Roxy, the two-year-old pit bull, boxer, shepherd mix that was scheduled to be euthanized today, will be given a temporary stay of execution. After reading the stories in our paper and the online petition I think Roxy deserves a second chance. Being 5 months pregnant myself I can understand Roxy not behaving like herself, especially in 90 degree weather. I sometimes feel like biting, even on a beautiful fall afternoon. I hope Iron Mountain's vicious dog ordinance can be amended for situations like Roxy's. I do, however, believe Roxy's owner needs to shorten her leash.
