It’s nice to drive down the hill in Niagara and see the new man-made waterfall at the bottom of the hill, especially at night. The waterfall is lighted at night and they’ve planted grass and trees below it for a little picnic area. It sure beats the ugly, ragged sand cliff that was there before, looking like a scar in the side of the hill. Yes it’s man-made but sometimes something unnatural or man-made can be as beautiful as something nature creates. The little waterfall is a nice addition to the scenic beauty that surrounds the city. Driving through at the south end the main road parallels the Menominee River and the bluffs which overlook the river. Who knew removing metal fencing that was put up years ago would have such a dramatic effect on the view. A little pavilion and some benches are there for people to enjoy the view. Take some time to take a look, especially with the fall colors coming.
