Fall color tours

September 25, 2013 - Nikki Younk
Fall is upon us, and I’d love to hear any and all suggestions for color tours.

My personal favorite is U.S. 2 between Spread Eagle and Florence. For some reason, the vibrance and the variety of leaves in that area are always quite stunning.

Another good drive is U.S. 2 in Iron County — particularly from the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls Township going west. The steep hills in the area allow for some gorgeous vistas.

I’ve never driven on Pentoga Trail in Iron County during peak season, but I bet that would also be pretty. The road's “tunnel of trees” effect looks amazing at any time of the year, though.

Feel free, dear readers, to let me know of your own favorite routes.
