May 3, 2013 - Theresa Proudfit
The day came and went. So much planning, so many helpers, so much love. I wish we could do the day over again, but John says we can't afford it.

I want to use this blog to say thank you to every body that helped make our wedding day so beautiful and memorable. My cousin Kelli Vardigan for teaching me to fold flowers, to all my flower making helpers Hannah Proudfit, Wanda Sherman, Melinda Teske, Danyel Pipp, Kristen Stephenson, Savahnna Pollock, Karen Proudfit, Doni Mae Rauch, Sherry Peterson, Shawna Lauzon, Laura Fortner, Michelle VandenHeuvel and Sarah Weber. To all the people who saved wine bottles for me the last few months. Cousin Kelli, Wanda Sherman, Sarah Weber, Renae Colenso, cousin Debbie Ellis, Jodie Peterson, Sharon Fredrickson. Also to Sharon for passing on some old picture frames for us to use as well. To my father-in-law Gary Proudfit for running to Michael's Craft store in Marquette for me a few times. Bless his heart.

Deanna Michaud for offering to take my wedding photos. I think she meant it to be a joke, but too bad. She offered and I took her up on her offer. She has wonderful eye so I gave her my camera equipment and a few pointers and she did a fantastic job. Also to my good friend Karen Klenke for gifting me some beautiful photos of my reception. Love You!

To my Matron of Honor Melinda "Mindy Mindo" Teske for mine and Hannah's awesome pedicures and for all the love and support she has giving me through the lengthy planning.

For Sue and Gary Proudfit for taking care of our rehearsal dinner food and drinks. To Sara "The Iron Lotus" Presley and the rest of the Merle Norman crew for taking care of our hair and make up. They made me feel so pretty! And to Dani Kommando for suppyling mimosas.

For the perfect instrumental guitar rendition of Toi et Moi by Antoine Dufour performed by my cousin Aaron Peterson. My super cool organist Carol Wicklund, my readers Nancy McCole, Trevor Peterson and Gary Proudfit, my alter servers/program girls Abby Tomasoski and Annie McCole and for Father Mike Woempner for putting up with all my nonsense and agreeing to marry us.

For everyone who helped with food. Sally and Homer Swan-hot turkey, David and Jane Tomososki and Nancy McCole for porketta and cheesy potatoes, Sue Proudfit cooking noodles and bringing the beans, Michelle VanDenHeuvel's infamous banana bars, Sherry Peterson's tasty peanut butter bars, Terri Castelaz tortellini salad and bars, Linda Lobeck's potato Salad, June Gilbert three beautiful salads, a caramelized cashew salad, acidi depepi fruit salad and an oriental salad, Antonio's for the awesome deal on the very tasty mini pasties, Andria Antonini for making the chicken wings, Andrea's Sweet Design for five flavors of decadent cake and Grandma Jeanette Schaut for pitching in some cash for the buns. FYI-we actually ended up using that money for champagne. Priorities Grandma Net.

My decoration crew which includes my brother Clint Peterson, Lee Erickson, Teddy Nelson, Karen Proudfit, Danyel Pipp, my mother Kathy Peterson and my husband John. They did a fantastic job getting the hall ready. My husband for spending many a night spray painting bottles and picture frames and building a beautiful card wishing well which my brother painted for us!

To Gibby LaFave for the awesome deal on our transportation and To Uncle Jim Peterson and Aunt Jan for supplying me with antacid and Patron when I had an upset stomach.

My servers Laurel St. Louis, Debbie Couper and Jeff Couper. They had no idea what they were getting themselves into and I am so grateful for their hard work.

To my "Uncle Icky" Homer Swan for doing a fantastic job as both maitre de and deejay. My super awesome bartenders Marc McKee, Josh Mitchell and Myke Stephens who did a fantastic job keeping everyone in good spirits.

My niece Elisabeth "Lissy" Paoli for cutting my cake and my junior bridesmaids for passing it out. My Grandpa Gordy for buying my beautiful bridal shoes. Grandma Pat for giving me money for my hair, my jewelry, my bridal undergarments and my honeymoon nighty. I have wonderful grandparents.

My super fun wedding party Melinda Teske, Wanda Rose Sherman, Danyel Pipp, Kristen Stephenon, Brandon Proudfit, My Big brother Clint, Mike Swan, my little brother Ian Sherman, Matthew Thomas Peterson and nephew Josh Droese, Karen Proudfit, Savahnna Pollock, Victoria Peterson, Brianna Peterson, Cassidy Peterson, Hannah Proudfit, Jessica Tomasoski, Mason Paoli and Joaquin Peterson for standing by our side. Most importantly my parents, Robert and Kathy Peterson for my dress and veil, financing the beautiful wedding and reception, for all the little "extras" over the planning and for all the love and support through the years. I love you both so very much.

Also thank you to all my guests who were there physically or in spirit for the generous gifts and for making me feel so beautiful and special on my day. Don't worry you'll all still get thank you cards. :)

I hope I didn't forget anyone. Just because I didn't mention you doesn't mean I don't appreciate you! We had so much love and support it hard to remember everything. I really did have my dream wedding and I'm so thankful for everyone who participated in our phenomenal day.
