One vote to keep Tigers' Porcello

February 5, 2013 - Burt Angeli
Some baseball experts believe the Detroit Tigers would be better off trading pitcher Rick Porcello.

Another baseball source, code name “Reggie,” suggests a stronger defense would help Porcello considerably.

“If the Tigers had a better infield, Porcello's ERA would be full run lower and he'd be a consistent 15-20 game winner,” Reggie says. “I die every time the Tiger infield screws him.  He is a ground ball pitcher and the Tiger infield  is so slow. They have no range.

“All he needs is a soft grass infield and a real infield. Look at his experience and number of innings pitched at such a young age.”
