Young and old I've always enjoyed dressing up for Halloween. Actually I just enjoy dressing up and having fun. Any occasion where you can throw on a costume I'm generally in. Sometimes when looking through old photos I'm not sure if I'm dressed up for Halloween or just being my crazy self.
A couple of my favorite Halloween costumes were The Stay Puff Marshmallow Man in college and Raggedy Ann and Andy. I did that one twice. Once with my brother when we were 5 and 6 and again with my fiance last year. It went over better the first time I think. Wish I had that photo to share. My brother, I'm sure, is glad I don't.
Some other costumes I've worn over the years, in no particular order, include a cow girl, a hippie, Olivia Newton John, (wait, maybe that was just every weekend with my friend Missy growing up), Mimi, from the Drew Carey Show, Snow White, Minny Mouse, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, a retired Hooters girl, a witch, a ghost, Fruit of the Loom underpants (this was a group of us in junior high, Sarah Curran's mom made the costume, I was the grapes), one of the four hurricanes in 2004 (I was Ivan), and a fairy. These are just off the top of my head.
This Halloween came too fast for me. I didn't get a chance to dress up and I am a little disappointed. Not too disappointed though. I can always find an occasion to dress for. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and an episode of Friends including Joey and a turkey comes to mind.
Happy Halloween Everybody!
