Summer dieting

So I got talked into participating in the weight loss challenge at work. The challenge started in July and goes until Thanksgiving. Prizes, including money, will be awarded to those who lose the most weight. It’s two weeks in and I gained a pound the first week and lost three pounds the second week. Part of the challenge is those who gain weight have to pay $1 for any week they gain. I have to say that summer time is not the best time to begin a diet. Too many festivals, parties and other fun events offering too much good food and drinks. By the way, my favorite foods are ice cream, french fries, and chips. Looks like I am going to have to stop eating those items and get down to business. I need to focus on losing weight and not gaining it if I want to win anything in this competition.
