CRYSTAL FALLS — The body of an Iron River man who went missing in late October has been found in a Bates Township lake, according to the Iron County Sheriff’s office.

Iron River police reported the possible body in the lake Monday. Sheriff’s deputies later recovered the body of 47-year-old Jay Luckey.

Luckey last was seen Oct. 24 in the Iron River area.

The investigation continues into the cause of the death, the sheriff’s department stated in a news release. The office was assisted by the Michigan State Police and Iron River Police Department.

No additional information was being released at this time, the sheriff’s department said.
